Movable Type 3.0 is available. I had been waiting for it because a) the site was hyping it like it would fucking do your laundry as well as manage your blog and b)I was getting a little peeved with the spam comments I have been getting. But now that I am reading all the documentation, I don't know that I want to venture that far.
Why can't they just implement a "turn off old comments" script? This whole Type Key business sounds like more trouble than it's worth. I don't really give a shit about "authenticated visitors"... I just want the "penis jackpot mortgage porn" comments to stop.
You know, ever since Google devoured bought Blogger, B has really been getting its shit together. They've got hot new templates (as you can see here) and they even have comments now. And none of the HOURS of setup that comes with MT. But I can't go back. But it's tempting. But I can't.
